“The Springboks and South Africa are the world champions, and they have the most charismatic captain in the world, and I think they represent the hopes and dreams of South Africans and the entire continent of Africa”.

Earlier on Friday, England beat Argentina to claim the third position in the 2023 rugby World Cup.

Herbert Mensah told the BBC that he predicts Africa and the Springboks to lift the trophy at the end of the final game, adding, “the Springboks represents the giants of the game of rugby in Africa”.

Herbert Mensah praised the South African team for raising the standard of African rugby. “Rugby in the whole of Africa takes inspiration from the Springboks as they’re the leading light for many. The standard of the game in Africa has risen as everybody aspires to the golden standard of the springboks”.
