Semi Finals 2024 Rugby Africa Cup Senegal Ease Past Regional Rivals Cote d’Ivoire

Four tries saw Senegal comfortably beat West African rivals Ivory Coast by 25-8 in the fifth-place semi-final of the Rugby Africa Cup here in Kampala, Uganda today, Wednesday, July 24.
Loose-head prop Mamadou Cisse opened the scoring from a driving maul early in the first half.
The mercurial flyhalf Mamadou Ndiaye then added another try under the posts as the Senegalese continued to dominate.
In the second half, eighth man and man-of-the-match Abdelkarim Fofana as well as quicksilver winger Sanha Cheikh crossed the whitewash for Senegal.
Ivory Coast’s points came from a try and a three-pointer by fullback Sekou Traore.
