Job description – Junior financial manager and Executive assistant

.
Reporting to the General Manager, the position is responsible for enhancing Rugby Africa and World Rugby’s investment in African rugby, through improving financial management systems & processes, policies and procedures in the Regional Association and its Member Unions.

Position Objectives

  1. Rugby Africa Finance – to financially manage the Rugby Africa entity through ensuring that all management accounting (including detailed budgeting of Competitions and Training & Education) and financial accounting (including transaction operations) are planned, recorded, processed and reported appropriately, timely and in line with best practice;Work load : 20%
  2. Rugby Africa Entity – to support the General Manager to strategically and operationally manage Rugby Africa’s activities including setup and management of an appropriate company structure and implementation of the strategic plan;Work load : 50%
  3. Member Unions Financial Management – to support Member Unions to significantly improve and maintain financial management systems & processes in their organisations by centrally developing and implementing a Rugby Africa Financial Management project;Work load : 10%
  4. World Rugby Development Investment Programme (DIP) – to support the Rugby Services Manager, World Rugby to enhance African Member Union planning, budgeting and tracking of applications for the annual DIPWork load : 10%
  5. Value-add – to add value to programmes by providing information for decision making to management, developing processes and managing relationships
    Work load : 10%
