Ahead of the rugby games between 19-21 March 2024 at the 13th African Games in Accra Ghana, some Rugby Africa and world rugby officials have called on President of the Republic of Ghana Nana Akufo Addo.
General Secretary of Rugby Africa, Jurie Roux, and Carolie Van Den Berg, regional partnerships manager for Africa at World Rugby were among the officials who were led by Herbert Mensah, Rugby Africa President, a native of Ghana to meet the Ghanaian President.
The team commended the Ghanaian leader for his demonstrable commitment to the development of rugby in Ghana. The University of Ghana rugby stadium is the first international standard dedicated rugby stadium to be built in any country in West Africa. It was recently commissioned by Ghana’s vice President ahead of the 13th All Africa Games in Accra.
